Formby Chess Club is a member of the Merseyside Chess Association and has teams in four of its leagues. It also enters teams in the annual cup competitions. The club has internal competitions throughout the season open to all
members and also individual members take part in outside chess congresses. The club is open to all, but due to safeguarding issues we do ask that under-18s attend as part of a family membership and are accompagnied by a parent or guardian
